It Started With
a Bath Bomb

Water Sweets Soaps started as a hobby by Lisa Sutterfield. As a busy mom, Lisa would make bath bombs and soaps for her family and friends. As her kids got older, she was able to devote more time to the art of soapmaking. Illinois summers bring intense heat and winters here deliver biting cold. Our weather extremes can take a toll on the skin. Recognizing the need for high-quality skincare, Lisa's products emerged as a family favorite, offering a remedy crafted with love to nourish and protect against the challenging weather conditions.

Thus, the Water Sweet Soaps Company was born. What once started as a solo production of a few soap molds, grew to a family operation with mutliple, large-scale, hundred bar molds, and a whole line of high-quality bath and skincare essentials for the entire family. Lisa and Gregg’s son, Alex, manages the retail side of the business. As the family and business grows, having more family involved brings extra warmth and dedication to our products. With everyone pitching in, our skincare essentials continue to be crafted with love, just like when it all began.

Every step of our production process, from creation to packaging, happens in-house. You can even stop by any one of our two stores and chances are you’ll be greeted by someone in our family. Our flagship store opened on Main Street in Edwardsville, IL in December 2016 and moved to its current location in 2020. In 2022 we opened a second location in O’Fallon, IL.
